DMC USA has announced that Canadian DJ turned international superstar comedian Russell Peters has signed on to co-host their flagship event.
Taking place Sunday, August 6, the 2023 Technics DMC US DJ Finals presented by Rock The Bells will feature performances by the legendary acts Invisibl Skratch Piklz and X-Ecutioners, with additional beats coming from DJ Jazzy Jay and DJ Rockin Rob. Along with Peters, it will be co-hosted by the legendary Lord Finesse.
Judges for the main event will include Shortkut, Boogie Blind, D-Styles, Spictakular, DJ Perseus, DJ Qbert, and Mista Sinista, with more to be announced.

DMC USA released a statement about Peters hosting their 2023 final:

Along with the the classic 6-minute set tournament, DMC is also gearing up for the 2023 Technics DMC US Scratch Finals. This is a newer category in the DMC repertoire of events, which is a showcase style, VINYL ONLY competition. Competitors will perform a one minute scratch routine for the elimination round. Eight DJs will then advance to perform a two minute scratch routine for the final round.
The 2023 Technics DMC USA Scratch Finals is taking place Thursday, August 10 inside Atlantic City, NJ’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. It’s going down at DJX, the longest-running and most impactful trade show/exhibition in the DJ industry. DJX’23 takes place from August 7 to August 10.
