Since its launch in 2012, CapCityHipHop has grown to become one of Ottawa’s premier destinations for hip-hop, and one of the leading entertainment companies in the National Capital Region. As one of the longest running music platforms in the city, CapCityHipHop has developed a strong reputation for showcasing local talent and telling stories that impact the city.

Today, CapCityHipHop has secured another big breakthrough by teaming up with Stingray Music Canada for a new Ottawa-centric playlist launching on the streaming service. The new CapCityHipHop Ottawa playlist will showcase hip-hop artists from Ottawa and will provide artists from the city with another strong avenue to get their music heard across the country.

Curated by CapCityHipHop Founder/CEO Nathan “Thrilla” Gravelle, the playlist will be updated monthly, and artists are able to submit their latest releases by email via the CapCityHipHop.com website. As of now, the CapCityHipHop Ottawa playlist has launched with 150 songs, with a range of artists representing different corners of the city, as well as different generations of Ottawa hip-hop.

With the music landscape continuing to evolve, Stingray Music Canada is taking great steps to respond to consumer and market demand. In fact, launching the CapCityHipHop Ottawa playlist is just one of several new platforms the company is introducing to increase their support of the thriving Canadian hip-hop scene.

You can listen to the playlist for free on Stingray Music on TV, mobile, and the web, or sign up for Stingray Premium for even more features including non-stop, ad-free streaming and superior sound quality.

While 2020 saw the growth of a ton of great Ottawa artists, there is still a lot of work needed to increase recognition of the city’s talents across the country, as well as within the city itself. One thing is certain, this is a great opportunity for promotion, and Thrilla is about to open our ears to something different. Click here to access the playlist on Stingray Music Canada now.
