How Did I Get This Deep? Jazz Cartier is back with a new gem

Producer Know-it remixes Tempted by Jazz Cartier
Jazz Cartier

He’s asking, “How Did I Get This Deep?” Back in February, Jazz Cartier was on Sway In The Morning and got a lot of praise after dropping some slick bars in the live freestyle segment. The lyrics took shot at Joe Budden and roughly 75% of the bars ended up in the first verse of his new record, “How Did I Get This Deep?”

Mama said, Never take advice from a nigga with no money/This is my world, don’t tell me how to run it/Old niggas, washed up, Joe Budden

The song pairs Jacuzzi up with go-to producer Michael Lantz and sees the Toronto star examine his growth in the music industry, and the impact it’s had on him from both a negative and positive perspective. But despite enduring the trials and tribulations of the game, he assures fans he’s pushing forward. “A duel with duality.” Kafaye brings a mellow vibe to give a nice balance to Cartier’s aggressive but temperate delivery.

Also it looks like FLEUREVER 2017 has turned into FLEUREVER 2018. So hopefully, assuming that means it’s been pushed back, it’s a first quarter release. Check out “How Did I Get This Deep?” below via SoundCloud.
