Before releasing her Grammy Award-nominated mixtape You Should Be Here in 2015, Oakland-born singer-songwriter Kehlani had already made waves with her 2014 mixtape debut. The 8-song Cloud 19 was originally released as a free download on Aug. 26, 2014, and now, for the first time, it’s available on major streaming platforms like Spotify and TIDAL.
Kehlani took to Twitter to announce the project’s availability, and the reasoning behind the decision to re-share it:
“12 years in music, 7 years since my first project i have to say it’s INCREDIBLE I’m still in conversation. i don’t take it lightly or for granted. it’s the reason i can keep a level head and just be happy for everything that comes my way. i’ve seen it all & then some. blessed!”
Kehlani went on to release her debut album, SweetSexySavage, in 2017, and followed that up last year with her sophomore album, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t. Check out Cloud 19 (featuring Kyle Dion) below via TSNMI / Atlantic.
