TLDR: What If It All Goes Right sees Toronto legend Boi-1da unite some of Canada’s biggest artists for the nation’s official FIFA World Cup album.
As Canada prepares to co-host the world’s biggest sporting event, Grammy-winning producer Boi-1da has orchestrated a soundtrack worthy of the moment. What If It All Goes Right?, the official FIFA World Cup album from Canada Soccer, is more than a collection of songs. It’s a musical statement about who Canada is, where its culture is headed and why the country belongs on the global stage.
The project began as a modest idea before quickly evolving into something much larger. Speaking with CBC, Boi-1da explained that there was simply too much Canadian talent to limit the initiative to a handful of tracks. As he told CBC, “there’s just too much talent out here to just showcase one, two, three artists.”
That philosophy is reflected throughout the album’s diverse lineup. The project features contributions from NorthSideBenji, Connor Price, Fito Blanko, AP Dhillon, Jessie Reyez, Nelly Furtado, Alessia Cara, FRVRFRIDAY, and many more. One of the album’s standout moments sees Boi-1da reimagine The Tragically Hip’s classic “Ahead by a Century” alongside Dallas Green and Ruby Waters.
The album’s lead single, “Electric Circus,” reunites Boi-1da with Canadian pop icon Nelly Furtado. According to Billboard Canada, the song was inspired by the communal energy surrounding both soccer and music. Furtado explained that the atmosphere of the iconic television program helped inspire “the feeling of ‘everybody outside’“ that comes with World Cup celebrations.
Beyond the music, the mission carries a deeper purpose. All proceeds from What If It All Goes Right will support the Canada Soccer Foundation, helping fund grassroots programs, youth development initiatives and financial assistance for players across the country.
With Canada set to welcome the world in 2026, the new Boi-1da compilation captures the spirit of a nation eager to celebrate its diversity, creativity and growing presence on soccer’s biggest stage. You can find What If It All Goes Right on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms via Infinity & Records.
