Ottawa’s Victa Releases New Single “See You Again”

TLDR: Ottawa artist Victa returns with his latest release, “See You Again,” marking the initial entry in a new monthly release campaign.

Ottawa melodic hip-hop and R&B artist Victor Gabriel Hanson, performing as Victa, has released his latest track, “See You Again.” The song arrives alongside a companion video co-directed by Victa and Carter Pruett, who met while studying at Algonquin College in 2022. Filmed across local spots like Lansdowne Park, ByWard Market, and Parliament, the visual mirrors the track’s regional focus.

Produced by VALXR II with recording and mixing handled by Daniel Paisley, the song blends Afropop rhythm with traditional R&B arrangements. Beyond the music itself, the single serves as the inaugural submission to the Create More Challenge, a campaign started through his digital agency to spur unfinished creative projects. Victa views the track as a functional blueprint for consistent monthly releases through late 2026 and into 2027.

“This release means everything to me,” said Victa. “It’s a perfect example of what I’m trying to create with the Create More Challenge: going out, connecting with other talented creatives, working together and blending our creativity, showing up for yourself, and putting your work into the world so it can take on a life of its own, inspire listeners and uplift other creatives too.”

Listen on Spotify and other digital streaming platforms via Create More Media.
