Spill The Tea: Smiley Previews Next Mixtape With New Single

OVO Sound recording artist Smiley is back, and he’s coming out strong with his new single, “Spill The Tea,” which dropped on September 19. The Toronto-born rapper, known for his laid-back delivery and distinct flow, takes a bold step forward with this latest track. Written during a reflective, snowy day in his hometown, “Spill The Tea” offers a glimpse into Smiley’s evolving artistry, focusing on themes of liberation and shedding judgment. It’s clear that Smiley’s journey over the past year has allowed him to tap into a more honest, introspective side of his music.

“People should listen to this project cause it’s gonna bring you into my world and I can guarantee that there’s shit in there you are going to bump,” promises Smiley. “I took my time with this one and it’s my favourite music that I have ever made.”

Powered by multi-platinum music producers KK McFly, Money Montage, and rising Toronto producer Halfademics, “Spill The Tea” is Smiley’s first solo track to hit DSPs since “Tonka Truck” last year. But fans can look forward to hearing more from Smiley as “Spill The Tea” is part of his forthcoming 7-track mixtape, set to drop later this fall. This new project promises to blend Smiley’s signature sound with an innovative new flow.
