You will be hard pressed to find anything in the last six decades that doesn’t have Quincy Jones’ fingerprints on it – from bebop to hip-hop, there is nothing that he hasn’t touched or inspired.
In Quincy, the new Netflix documentary airing Friday, Sept. 21, viewers will get an intimate look into Jones’ epic life. Directed by his daughter Rashida Jones and Alan Hicks, the film seamlessly threads personal vérité moments with private archival footage to share the the story of a legend.

Quincy celebrated its world premiere in Toronto during the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival. HipHopCanada was on the red carpet for the premiere and quickly caught up with Jones, watch below.
