Free Time? Drake to release new single later today (Friday)

Free Time: Drake to release new single on Friday night

During a Majid Jordan concert last night in Toronto, Drake made a surprise appearance and teased a new single he’ll be releasing some time today night (or maybe even earlier).

“The reason I’m here tonight is because I’m back in the city finishing my album. I’ve got a new single dropping tomorrow night too, just in case you got some free time.” – Drake

The single in question could be the Murda Beatz-produced record that Drake announced he’d be releasing in March.

Earlier this week, “God’s Plan” became Drake’s second hit single to top the Billboard Hot 100 for 10-weeks straight. If it holds the number one spot for another week, it will be Drake’s most successful single ever. “One Dance” came close last year, but was just barely knocked out of the top spot before the 10th week was complete.

“You can see the album hours under my eyes.”

“God’s Plan” was originally released as part of the 2-track Scary Hours EP, but it’s unclear if it will also appear on the album he’s currently finishing up.
