Federal authorities recently arrested Sean “Diddy” Combs following a grand jury indictment on serious charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. On the following day, September 17, 2024, during his initial court appearance, Combs pled not guilty to all charges. U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky denied him bail, citing the severity of the charges and concerns about potential witness intimidation. Despite his attorneys offering a $50 million bond, a second judge, Andrew L. Carter Jr., reaffirmed the bail denial on September 18, highlighting the risk posed to witnesses.
