Black Coffee makes South Africa proud as Executive Producer & producing 3 songs on Drake’s new album

In a new article, TshisaLIVE’s Chrizelda Kekana looks at how South African DJ, record producer and songwriter, Black Coffee, has made his country proud with his latest accomplishments.

The Grammy Award-winner is one of four executive producers on the new Drake album, Honestly, Nevermind, along with Drizzy, Noah “40” Shebib, and Noel “OVO Noel” Cadastre. He’s also the co-producer of three songs on the project including “Texts Go Green,” which also lists his son Esona Tyolo as a co-producer, “Currents,” co-produced by Carnage aka Papi Gordo, and “Overdrive,” co-produced by 40.

“Drake and Coffee’s relationship dates back to 2017,” explains Kekana. “The Canadian rapper sampled one of Coffee’s hits Superman, featuring local songstress Bucie, for a song titled ‘Get It Together.'”
