Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara has released a new single off her forthcoming EP, This Summer.

“Okay Okay,” produced by Midi Jones and Jon Levine, is available on various digital streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify via Def Jam.

The “Wild Things” singer announced the new EP via Twitter on July 18, 2019, along with its first single, “Ready,” which was also produced by Jones and Levine. This Summer is Alessia’s second EP to date and scheduled to be released on September 6th, 2019.

Genius contributor naturalbornloser described “Okay Okay” as “a song about self-empowerment.” Continuing with, “While the theme of accepting yourself for who you are is evident in her 2017 top-10 hit ‘Scars To Your Beautiful,’ the fourth track off of This Summer – EP depicts Alessia’s insecurities as she’s trying to take her own advice.”
