The JUNO Awards Announce Next Wave of Performers for the 55th Annual Broadcast and JUNO Week
With JUNO Week fast approaching, The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC have announced the final performers set to take the stage at the 55th Annual JUNO Awards in Hamilton, Ontario.
The 55th Annual JUNO Awards, produced by Insight Productions (A Blue Ant Studios Company), will air live across Canada at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBC TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, CBC Listen, CBCMusic.ca/junos and stream globally on CBC Music’s YouTube channel.
A Tribute to Nelly Furtado
The Broadcast will spotlight Nelly Furtado’s induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, celebrating a career that has helped shape Canadian music on the global stage for more than two decades. Known for her genre-blending sound and international success, Furtado’s legacy continues to influence artists and audiences worldwide. In honour of her induction, a cast of JUNO Award-winning artists — Alessia Cara, Jully Black, Shawn Desman and Tanya Tagaq — along with some very special guests will perform a musical tribute on The JUNOS stage, joined by Furtado’s acclaimed band led by musical director Herag Sanbalian, who has curated a selection of her greatest hits. To further celebrate her impact, a new exhibition will open March 25, 2026 at the National Music Centre in Calgary, the physical home of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
New Broadcast Performers Announced
The 55th Annual JUNO Awards Broadcast, live from TD Coliseum, will also feature performances from MICO and Sofia Camara, adding two of Canada’s rising voices to the national stage.
MICO
Filipino-Canadian alt-pop artist MICO will perform at the 55th Annual JUNO Awards Broadcast at TD Coliseum. The 23-year-old first built a following performing in Discord communities and has since amassed more than 300 million global streams and a devoted fanbase of over 1.8 million “amicos.” MICO is also nominated for Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year Presented by FACTOR, the Government of Canada and Canada’s Private Radio Broadcasters.
Sofia Camara
Portuguese-born, Toronto-raised pop powerhouse Sofia Camara will take centre stage at the 55th Annual JUNO Awards Broadcast at TD Coliseum. The breakout star behind the viral hit “Who Do I Call Now? (Hellbent)” and the Top 10 radio single “Girls Like You,” Camara has rapidly emerged as one of pop’s most exciting new forces. After commanding major festival stages including Lollapalooza and Osheaga, she now brings that momentum to this year’s national Broadcast. Camara is also nominated for Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year Presented by FACTOR, the Government of Canada and Canada’s Private Radio Broadcasters.
