The Surprising Real Story How 2Pac and Biggie Actually Met

YouTube channel MemoDashDigital dives into hip-hop history, looking at “The Surprising Real Story How 2Pac and Biggie Actually Met” in 1993.

The famously turbulent relationship between 2Pac and Notorious B.I.G. began in Los Angeles, with both artists are relatively different stages of their careers. Biggie had just landed his first notable placement with “Party & Bullshit” featured on the Who’s the Man? soundtrack, and Pac beginning to promote his latest feature film, Poetic Justice. Pac was also promoting his second studio album, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., which featured the singles “Keep Ya Head Up” and “I Get Around.”

“In this story we do a deep dive into 2pac’s and Biggie’s relationship to examine how close were they really…and how did they actually meet. Surprisingly I found a lot of stories not that known mainstream with some surprising details. 2pac and Biggie’s friendship was only for a few years but they did grow close in such a short amount of time. I hope you enjoy this video and get a deeper sense into their history.”

2Pac was fatally shot in Las Vegas on Sept. 7, 1996 after the Mike Tyson fight inside MGM Grand Las Vegas. He passed away on Sept. 13. He was only 25. Twenty-seven years after Pac’s murder, Duane “Keefe D” Davis was indicted for the crime.

Biggie, on the other hand, was killed in Los Angeles in the early hours of March 9, 1997 after leaving an award shot after-party at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Officially, his murder remains unsolved.
