18-year-old rap prodigy LeoStayTrill shares new single “Patience” featuring rising French rapper R2. “Patience” is a rousing anthem about self-discipline and communicates the feeling of having one goal in mind and making it your one focus. Introspective and honest, Leo is allowing his fans a glimpse into his internal workings. Fresh off the back of two top 20 singles in the French charts, 21-year-old R2 proves the perfect collaborator to match Leo’s melodic delivery.
“Patience” is the follow-up single to the Ayo Maff-assisted “Diamonds,” which saw Leo work with a slower BPM than on previous tracks, showing his ability to own any genre and excel with flows his audience haven’t previously witnessed.
Leo elaborates on the new single: “Patience came from a place of real focus and determination. I wanted to express how it feels to block out distractions, whether it’s the noise of the world or the pressure to conform. For me, it’s all about waiting for the right moment, trusting that success comes with time and persistence. I’ve chosen to stay grounded and true to my vision, and this track is a reflection of that commitment to my goals, above all else.”
As previously mentioned, Leo’s debut EP, Home Alone, dropped in May to a huge fan response. With Dave and Ed Sheeran co-signs and incredible stats under his belt, the sky’s the limit for the 18-year-old South Londoner. Home Alone followed on from “Hands on Knees” featuring Drill superstar K-Trap. Which racked up over 6 million views on the teasers and thousands of video creations.
Fresh off a showstopping performance at Our Homecoming fest in Nigeria, and with 2.1 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, Leo has proven himself a force in the UK music industry. In June, Leo performed in Manchester, Birmingham and London for his sold-out Home Alone tour.
