The Essence is a short film written by Michael ‘Buck’ Maris, Ashley Chin and April Walker, directed by Myles Whittingham.
The Essence is inspired by the 2017 mixtape Wamp 2 Dem by UK recording artist Giggs. Part 2 is inspired by last year’s Big Bad….

Wamp 2 Dem succeeded Giggs’ fourth album Landlord and marked his first release with a major label. It featured guest appearances by 2 Chainz, Young Thug and Lil Duke, alongside Dave, Footsie, D Double E, Popcaan and Donae’o.
Big Bad… is Giggs’ fifth studio album. It was released on February 22, 2019 via NO BS Music Limited / Island Records. The album features guest appearances from Gashi, Ghetts, Jadakiss, Kristian Hamilton, Labrinth, Lil Yachty, French Montana, Swizz Beatz, Theophilus London and Wretch 32.
