As hip-hop and EDM continue to cross over with rapid commercial success, Vancouver’s rising DJ/producer, Daijo, teamed up with Toronto superstar Tory Lanez to create the sweet sound that is “Shot To My Heart.” This collaboration is very exciting for both camps, combining Daijo’s distinct sound with Tory’s exceptional and bullet proof delivery.
Benjamin Shir (better known by his stage name) has spent the last decade behind the scenes producing for some of the biggest names in the industry, however his collaboration with Tory has been a significant moment.
“I have been a fan of Tory’s for a long time and being in the studio together felt very natural,” Daijo wrote in an official statement upon the release. “He is an absolute talent and I hope everyone enjoys this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
“Shot To My Heart” is HipHopCanada’s Song of the Day, and officially drops today (July 19) via SoundCloud. The song is available now on various digital streaming platforms.
