How Rappers Like Tory Lanez Actually Record Music in Jail

YouTuber Eleven 11 has dropped an interesting new video looking at “How Rappers Actually Record Music in Jail.”

Just recently, Canadian rapper Tory Lanez surprised fans with the level of quality found in his own prison recordings. The incarcerated hitmaker released the first look at his Prison Tapes on July 26 with the songs “Cell 245” and “Wish I Never Met You.”

“It wasn’t the lyrics or the production that caught fans attention,” explained HipHopDX’s Will Schube, “but the sound quality of the songs considering they were recorded behind prison walls.”

You can find the video by Eleven 11 below, along with the video’s description.

How do rappers record music in jail? Incarceration is meant to strip away all your freedom as a form of punishment, however the truth is that’s definitely never stopped rappers such as Young Thug, Tory Lanez, or Lil Wayne to name a few… from continuing to drop new music for their fans. And as technology’s advanced so has the process of recording bars behind bars. In this video we see exactly how artists and engineers are able to record new music from prison.
