Yesterday, Common and Pete Rock released a new video for their song “When The Sun Shines Again” off of their first full-length collaboration, The Auditorium, Vol. 1 released via Loma Vista Recordings to rave reviews – watch HERE. The video features Bilal as well as Posdnuos from De La Soul. It was produced by Pete Rock and was directed by Marleaux Desire and ILLIMITEWORD, who have beautifully used their creativity to bring different songs from the album to life.
Last Friday, Common and Pete Rock closed out their 19 stop The Auditorium Tour at Webster Hall in New York City. This followed their sold out three night (6 show) residency at NYC’s iconic Blue Note Jazz Club earlier in the week – stream the Blue Note show HERE. Earlier this month, Common and Pete Rock received 4 BET Hip Hop Awards nominations. The pair were nominated for Best Duo Group and Impact Track for their song “Fortunate.” Additionally, Common received a nomination for Lyricist of the Year while Pete was also nominated for Producer of the Year.
