Angus Cloud, actor from Drake-produced HBO series Euphoria passes away at 25

Angus Cloud, a talented actor widely recognized for his role in the hit HBO series Euphoria, has tragically passed away at his family’s home in Oakland, California. The devastating news has left fans shocked as he was only 25-years-old and a rising star in Hollywood.

An official cause of death wasn’t revealed, but a statement from his family to TMZ suggested that it was connected to his struggle to cope with his father’s recent passing.

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”

After breaking thew news earlier today, TMZ followed up with a report that a 911 call had been made to Cloud’s home over a “possible overdose.” As of 5:13 p.m. PT, police have said the cause of death is still unknown at this point and that they’ve launched an investigation.

“We’ve learned Oakland PD and Fire Dept. responded to a 911 call made around 11:30 AM Monday by Angus Cloud’s mother. She reported a ‘possible overdose,’ and said Angus did not have a pulse. He was eventually pronounced dead on the scene.”

In 2019, Cloud began a two season run starring as Fezco in the Drake-produced series, Euphoria. He also had small roles in the independent films North Hollywood (2021) and The Line (2023) and appeared in music videos by Juice WRLD, Miley’s sister Noah Cyrus, Becky G and Karol G.

Our condolences to Angus’ family and friends. Rest in Peace.
