Sayzee To Drop YFRWN10, His Last Freddy Krueger-Inspired Tape

Canadian rapper Sayzee has finally released YFRWN10 aka YFRWNX, marking the conclusion of his long-running Freddy Krueger-inspired mixtape series. Over the past decade-plus, Sayzee has steadily built a loyal fan base by blending creative themes with gritty lyricism, carving out his place in the underground hip-hop scene. With YFRWN10, the series that started more than ten years ago reaches its dramatic conclusion.

Split into two parts, and produced entirely by Sayzee, the A-Side drops on October 15, 2024, featuring 12 fresh tracks that maintain Sayzee’s signature eerie soundscape. It features a stellar lineup of guest features including Asun Eastwood, The Legend Adam Bomb, Jamal Gasol, Theo3, and Ayoo Bigz. The B-Side, set to release on October 30, will wrap things up with another 12 tracks, closing the book on one of Canadian hip-hop’s most creative mixtape runs.

While HipHopCanada has chronicled his rise since the early days of his career, Sayzee’s work stands as a testament to his unique style and independent spirit. Producing much of his own work, Sayzee captures an atmosphere that few others can match, making YFRWNX the perfect swan song for his Freddy Krueger-inspired alter ego.

Prepare to experience a haunting yet captivating ride through the final nightmare. You’ll be able to listen to YFRWN10 aka YFRWNX on Bandcamp and other streaming platforms. You can pre-save / pre-order the A-Side and B-Side via DistroKid.

For now, check out the first song released off the project, “Can’t Escape.”
