Moncton, New Brunswick-born Roderick Porter shares his latest single “OVER AGAIN” available now on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms via Porter’s own Roderick Porter Entertainment.
Co-written by Soulection singer-songwriter Phabo, the 24-year-old Porter continues to showcase his genre-pushing sound that serves as the soundtrack to a never-ending party.
“I wanted to make a song for the club that embodied the chaotic energy of going out with the homies,” he says on the inspiration of the single.
The vibrant music video was directed by Bish Uprety, and features Porter and his friends having an eventful night partying. Porter shows off his cozy swag throughout the visuals, sporting his iconic big red hat. His friends also blend fashion inspiration from early 2000s and current styles. The magnifying glass scene, that doubles as the cover art, was inspired by the 2023 Jean Dawson visual “Sick Of It.”
“OVER AGAIN” arrives on the heels of “gone in the wind” which he recently performed for the MajorStage” concert series, and “BITTERSWEET” which caught Genius’ attention as the platform zeroed in on the catchy verse that made a lasting impact with fans.
Having racked up over 170 million global streams for his genre bending, alt hip-hop forward catalogue, Roderick Porter can count collaborations with Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, Travis Scott, Tyler, The Creator), Diego Ave (Lil Baby, Future, Post Malone), Slush Puppy (Nessa Barrett), and Oren Yoel (Miley Cyrus, 88rising), as one of the many reasons he’s been an artist to watch for in 2023.
“I want listeners to hear my new music and know who I am and what I’ve gone through,” says Porter.
“I want to make great songs that tell my story and journey.”
