Genius returns with another episode of Verified. This time they get Los Angeles rapper and producer Blxst to breakdown the official meaning and lyrics of his hit single, “Overrated.”
Blxst’s “Overrated” has found a strong audience with over 12 million Spotify streams to date. The self-produced song uses a classic Donell Jones sample and can be found on Blxst’s 2020 album, No Love Lost. On the track, Blxst explains why he values loyalty over love and actions over words.
