Dangerous Times: Evil Ebenezer Drops New Video In Support of The Birds II

TLDR: Canadian rapper Evil Ebenezer returns with “Dangerous Times,” a moody, hard-hitting track off his new album, The Birds II.

Canadian rapper Evil Ebenezer is back with a vengeance, dropping the latest in a string of videos supporting his new album. “Dangerous Times,” directed by Jordon Chatten and Evil himself, takes a hard look at a world on the edge, both visually and lyrically. With Pudra on production and Nato handling mixing duties, the track is another gritty slice of Ebenezer’s signature dark style. Known for his deep voice and raw vulnerability, Evil cuts through the noise with his authenticity.

The new video comes up in support of Evil’s new album, The Birds II which is available on all digital streaming platforms.

“Dangerous Times” follows the Vancouver artist’s recent video drops, including “Trouble” (released in August 2024) and “Tightrope” (July 2024), further cementing his role as a leading voice in Canadian hip-hop. The music video, which premiered yesterday, feels more like a short film, packed with moody landscapes and ominous urban vibes, reflecting the tense undercurrent of the track itself.

The song’s sharp lyrical narrative offers a commentary on survival in today’s chaotic world, addressing themes that feel both deeply personal and universally relevant. The collaboration with Pudra, coupled with Nato’s mastering and Seriously Taylor’s assistance, delivers a polished yet raw sound, capturing Evil’s emotional depth.

Ebenezer, a 5-time Western Canadian Music Award nominee, is no stranger to the grind, with his music amassing over 80 million views and streams. “Dangerous Times” pushes his artistry to new heights, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s a must-watch. As always, Evil Ebenezer keeps it real, so make sure to take in “Dangerous Times” below.
