New Desiigner Diss Track Fires Back at 50 Cent Slight

In a move that’s got rap fans buzzing, Desiigner has launched a diss track aimed squarely at 50 Cent after the G-Unit mogul took a jab at him during his recent Humor & Harmony Weekend. While chatting with Gillie and Wallo on Million Dollarz Worth of Game, 50 casually dismissed Desiigner, struggling to even recall his name. But what he did remember? The Brooklyn rapper’s fleeting chart success with his 2015 smash hit “Panda” — a single that drew heavy comparisons to Future’s sound.

The Kanye West and Paul Geusebroek-powered “Panda” music video has pulled in over half a billion views on YouTube since premiering on May 17, 2016.

Apparently, that throwaway comment got under Desiigner’s skin. Wasting no time, he posted a response track on Instagram, boldly captioning it “POV: Another Hit.” The track, though rough and unfinished, had a pointed message for 50: “Nas talking that 50 Cent / I be talking 50 mil… I got signed to Kanye lil na, you was never worth a deal.”

Desiigner even donned a Queens baseball cap, taking a sly shot at 50’s home borough. However, the post was quickly deleted, leaving fans only with the memory of its brief run online. Thankfully, people made a point of capturing it. It’s unclear if this new Desiigner diss track will be released in an official capacity. He released the single “Shyio” on Aug. 30.

What makes this move even more curious is Desiigner’s recent claim to be done with hip hop after Takeoff’s death, as well as his rocky history with Kanye West — the very figure he’s now invoking for credibility.

It looks like Desiigner isn’t ready to fade from the spotlight just yet, reigniting old flames in this latest rap beef.
