After releasing his 10-track Heavenly Race at the beginning of March, Nigerian-born Vancouver-based artist Kays is back with his latest offering.
Two years in the making, the introspective “Intimidate” was actually completed last year as Black Lives Matter protests occurred across North America. This period of time motivated Kays to share his own experiences with discrimination, as well as addressing the reoccurring and erroneous assumptions others make of him, based on his appearance.
With the release of “Intimidate,” Kays hopes to bring more awareness to these worldly issues.
“People closest to me know that I’m the nicest person, humbly I am one of the nicest people you’ll meet in your whole life,” said Kays in a press release.
“I am still human, like you, you should not feel intimidated by me, I am coming to spread good energy.”
