About Blaze The Fireman
“I live in a neighborhood within a community that sparks fire every corner you past. Most of the time it’s violent, sometimes it’s peaceful but it’s always home.”
Strong and powerful words from a young and talented artist from Toronto, Ontario born Blay Armah, known to the musical world as Blaze The Fireman. He’s been rapping for about 11 years and has had his share of highlights, positive and negative. Having been involved in multiple rap groups in the past, Blaze has found his share of problems and his solution was to fly solo. He’s performed at the HardRock Café, Poor Alex Theatre, performed alongside two time JUNO Award winner, Liberty Silver.
Blaze has also taken his show game across borders and performed in New York City, and Washington D.C. His mixtape series The Heatwave has been covered by sites like HotNewHipHop.com, lastfm.com. He also has an album titled Surviving The Times which he used to raise funds to support cancer research.
Blaze has much to look forward to and he says it best. “I want people to start caring about words again.”
