Everyone knows about Drake’s acting history as the character Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation, but we wanted to show love to some other TV and movie characters played by Canadian artists and producers.

From legends to budding artists, rappers to producers, the list of Canadian musicians also putting in work as actors is surprisingly long and diverse.

We compiled a list of 10 of our favourite TV and movie characters played by Canadian artists and producers.
