Wxrst Delivers a Standout Performance of “Now or Never” on Turn Up Toronto

Since June 21, Turn Up Toronto has been steadily releasing performances from Canada’s emerging hip-hop talent through their YouTube series. While the views might not yet reflect the quality of the content, the platform has been quietly assembling an impressive roster of artists. The latest addition? Wxrst, who delivered a raw and emotional performance of his track “Now or Never.”

Wxrst’s performance showcases a level of intensity that’s hard to ignore. The minimalist setup allows Wxrst’s lyrics to take centre stage, effortlessly bouncing between smooth talking a love interest and reflecting on his life. His flow is sharp, yet reflective, giving the impression that this moment is truly a make-or-break point for him—fitting for a track called “Now or Never.”

Turn Up Toronto has become known for spotlighting diverse voices in the Canadian hip-hop scene, and Wxrst is just one of many artists using the platform to push their sound forward. Though the channel is still gaining traction, its commitment to showcasing a wide array of styles is evident. Previous performances include Snowd4y’s comedic take with “Wah Gwan Delilah,” Roney’s hard-hitting “Sick and Tired,” and TVGUCCI’s energetic “IDGAF.”

With a history on YouTube dating back to 2017, Turn Up Toronto continues to build a catalog that serves as a snapshot of Canada’s ever-evolving hip-hop landscape. Wxrst’s “Now or Never” is a prime example of the platform’s potential to uncover hidden gems.
