Toronto’s Money Marlo set to release third single of 2022 “Love Song” & new Orazio-directed video

Toronto rapper Money Marlo has his foot on the gas.

Fresh off the release of his catchy “Christian” single and its supporting video, the Scarborough-born artist returns with a new “Love Song” to bring in the summer season.

Produced by female UK beatsmith Lollypopbeatz, the new single features highly infectious, sinister-sounding production which gives Marlo the perfect canvas to break down why he isn’t one to create your typical “Love Song.” Featuring stone cold lyrics which pay homage to fallen Riot Squad rapper, Chinx, among other things, Marlo rides the beat perfectly making for another catchy anthem in his growing catalogue.

In typical Marlo form, “Love Song” is packaged with a new music video powered by acclaimed Toronto director, Orazio, and it keeps up with the visual standards he’s set for himself with “30’s” and “Christian.” With black roses and rose petals covering the scene, the “Love Song” video sees Marlo dripped out in a fresh Dior and Amiri fit while being surrounded by a handful of beautiful ladies.

Like the song’s lyrics, the new video also pays homage to Chinx—who was senselessly murdered in 2015—with Marlo rocking a custom yellow gold and diamond #YAY pendant, which was the Far Rockaway rapper’s brand and slogan.

“If Chinx was still here, he would have been all over the ladies in this video. My bro was a sexual deviant [Laughing]. One of my first memories with Chinx was of me, him and some beautiful ladies in a Queens, NY, short stay hotel room. One of many wild nights… love my bro forever. He continues to live through me. Riot till the sun burn out.” – Money Marlo

Along with the new single and video, Marlo is also planning the release of a new interactive gaming augmented reality (AR) filter for Instagram and Facebook, as well as a new series of NFTs.

Earlier this year, an AR filter was released in support of “30’s,” and Marlo also minted two “30’s” themed NFTs which are available on OpenSea.

“Love Song” will be available on all major digital streaming platforms on May 13, and the video will be released on the same day.
