Rob49 and G Herbo Light Up “WTHELLY” Remix with Grit and Swagger

TLDR: Rob49 teams up with G Herbo for the official “WTHELLY” remix, following a hot streak that includes the BET Awards and Let Me Fly album success.

After weeks of building anticipation, New Orleans rap star Rob49 delivers the official remix to his viral smash “WTHELLY” – this time featuring Chicago’s own G Herbo. Released today via Geffen Records, the remix takes the street anthem to new heights with Herbo’s signature raw energy and lyrical grit.

The drop follows a wave of momentum for Rob49, who just released his third studio album Let Me Fly, which debuted on the Billboard 200, further cementing his status as one of the game’s most exciting rising stars.

Rob49 has also been turning heads with a string of high-profile appearances, including a performance on the 2025 BET Awards Pre-Show Live Stage. He’s been a fixture courtside throughout the Indiana Pacers’ playoff and NBA Finals run, spotted cheering on his friend Tyrese Haliburton. On top of that, Rob recently hit the road as part of Lil Baby’s WHAM Nationwide Tour, bringing his energy to packed-out arenas across the country.

The original “WTHELLY” took off with Rob’s unmistakable catchphrase, driving viral trends and pushing the record to #1 on TikTok’s Top 50 music chart. A long list of stars have co-signed the movement, including Madonna, Cardi B, Latto, Viola Davis, Angel Reese, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tyrese Haliburton.

Critics praised “WTHELLY.” Rolling Stone said “The perfectly catchy track from the rising New Orleans rapper strikes a balance of humour and song craft to land on something undeniable.” COMPLEX called it “the most playfully original single of the year.”

Now, with G Herbo adding his voice to the remix, “WTHELLY” is poised to dominate summer playlists and street speakers alike. You can find the new release on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms.

A few days ago, Rob dropped new visuals in support of Let Me Fly. “Honest” follows videos for “Where I’m From” and “BLOUSIN.”
