Budding West Coast recording artist Kresnt continues to build on his impressive 2019 run with a new visual for his single, “Remember Way Back.”
“We have this crazy chemistry where we both know what we need to add to make the track even more fire without having to use words.” – Kresnt
The new video—powered by Frank “Plan-Z” Pan of Lighthouse Cultures and Kane Dabir of TiV Productions—represents Kresnt’s journey from an Afghan transplant in Vancouver, CA to a respected, well-rounded rap artist, set to a classic track from the boards of 55x Grammy-nominated, 16x Grammy-winning producer/engineer, Ken Lewis of The Katalyst (Eminem, JAY-Z, Kanye West).
This isn’t Kresnt’s first time in the studio with Lewis, but it’s clear he finds any opportunity to work with the accomplished producer as a great experience. With 16 Grammys, 94 Gold and Platinum albums and 66 #1’s to his credit to date, it’s easy to imagine artists being in awe in the presence of such greatness.
We asked Kresnt about working with Lewis:
“Working with Ken Lewis is always a dream! We have this crazy chemistry where we both know what we need to add to make the track even more fire without having to use words. Super organic vibe where I come in and freestyle different ideas back and forth, and we aren’t afraid to try new things.”
Last month, Kresnt dropped his album debut, Rumi’s Reflection, which debuted at #2 on the Canadian iTunes chart. He killed at 420 Vancouver with over 100K folks in attendance and his streaming numbers continue to grow daily. His 3-track EP with Zac Flewids (The Burgundy Cycle) hit the top 10 in Sweden and his single with Dirty Radio (“2 Reckless“) continues to pick up steam after the release of their album, Pleasures LP.
