Cordae recently dropped fresh visuals for the J. Cole and Kelsey González-produced “Summer Drop.” The video was directed by Samba Diop for Samba Films.
As fans wait patiently for The Crossroads, the new release has received a ton of positive feedback from music blogs and journalists. Beatz & Bangerz called the video “a visual masterpiece that complements the laid-back vibe of the track,” while HipHopDX proclaimed it to be “a laidback, funky vibe befitting of its title, along with a certain amount of ’90s nostalgia.”
J. Cole’s production on the new release is as impressive as ever, showcasing the artist’s undeniable talent. Having worked with Cordae and Anderson .Paak before on last year’s “Two Tens,” he brings his signature sound to this track, infusing it with depth and a rich vibe that elevates the entire song.
Since premiering on Aug. 28, Cordae and .Paak have pulled in just under a million views on YouTube, while Cordae’s previous release, the Lil Wayne-assisted “Saturday Mornings,” just recently cracked 5.3 million.
You can find the single on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms.
