Classified Unveils Powerful Visuals and Deep Introspection in Luke’s View Album Journey

East Coast rap sensation Classified recently unveiled a new visual gem for his fans—a gripping video for “Make It Make Sense,” the latest single from his nineteenth studio album, Luke’s View. Released on April 26, 2024, through his own HalfLife Records, Luke’s View is yet another introspective journey from the artist who has become a staple in the Canadian hip-hop scene.

The “Make It Make Sense” video dropped on May 23, and has already racked up over 26K views, a testament to Classified’s unwavering fanbase and his ability to craft songs that resonate deeply. Directed by the dynamic duo known as the Brothers Boyd—which is Classified, born Luke Boyd, and his brother Mike Boyd—the video is a powerful exploration of the quest for clarity amid life’s chaos.

The video’s direction highlights the synergy between the brothers, blending moody visuals with poignant lyrics. It captures the essence of the song, which delves into the mental gymnastics of making sense of a world that often seems devoid of it.

From Luke’s View

The “Make It Make Sense” video follows a series of compelling visuals that have accompanied the release of Luke’s View. From the reflective “Amnesia” to the narrative-driven “All Wrong,” Classified has been on a creative spree, offering fans not just music but a multi-faceted artistic experience.

Beyond the official music videos from Luke’s View, Classified has been busy sharing more intimate and personal visual content. His “Dad Jokes” video, released last week, takes fans behind the scenes of the song’s creation. Meanwhile, an acoustic rendition of “Amnesia,” featuring Ian Jones on guitar, highlights Classified’s versatility and ability to strip his music down to its emotional core.

“This is how my new single ‘Amnesia’ started… with the beat… and had a lot of great artists help me finish it and get it to where it is now. Of course, Ian Jones where I got the original sample from, David Myles on the horn O’Sound on the vocals… Breagh Isabel and Reeny Smith on the backgrounds, and of course Mark Pellizer on the guitar and bass. Lucky to be able to work with so many talented people.” – Classified

In his “Vacation Video” for “Amnesia,” posted on May 13, Classified blends family time with creative expression, offering a candid look at his personal life. Similarly, his video explaining the creative process behind “Drip” showcases how inspiration can come from unexpected places, like a playful moment with his daughter.

With Luke’s View, Classified continues to push boundaries and offer his fans a multifaceted artistic experience. Whether through official music videos or more personal content, he’s creating a rich tapestry of visuals that accompany his deeply introspective music. You can find the the album on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms.
