July 5-15: Lineup unveiled for Ottawa Bluesfest 2018

Lineup unveiled for Ottawa Bluesfest 2018

After building up anticipation for the past few weeks, the lineup for Ottawa Bluesfest 2018 has finally been unveiled.

The event, taking place between July 5 and 15, will be the festival’s 24th year in operation. It originally took place inside Majors Hill Park and attracted a crowd of roughly 5,000 people. It now takes place at Lebreton Flats, attracts about 300,000 fans and is recognized as Ottawa’s premier summer music festival.

It’s still early, but so far the response to the lineup reveal has been positive and fans have been quick to point out who they’re most excited to see.

And there’s a gang of acts that we think our viewers will be interested in, including: Machine Gun Kelly, Rae Sremmurd, Ghostface Killah, Naughty by Nature, Shaggy, Chromeo, rising Toronto star Jessie Reyez, Keys N Krates, Mad Decent signee DJ Grandtheft, and San Fran singer-songwriter, Lauv.

There’s also a ton of dope Ottawa talent on the lineup including Black Iri$h, who is one of three artists behind the 2017-hit “Auston Matthews.” Other acts include City Fidelia, the trio known as Tapas, Aspects with Rita Carter, Cody Coyote, and even more to be announced.

Visit the OttawaBluesfest.ca website to purchase tickets and more information about the festival.

A 1-day pre-sale starts this Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. General ticket sales will begin the next day, Feb. 16.
