Toronto-based artist 96 has released new visuals in support of his Sept. 2019 EP, GOIN96HOST 2.
“Brand Nu Benz” was shot by M Works, and co-directed by 96 and his friend (and producer) Cy.
GOIN96HOST 2 is the follow up to 96’s GOIN96HOST, which he recorded during a decade long stint in Calgary. Back in 2019, the 1919 website described it as “a project heavily influenced by those who came before, namely House of Balloons era Abel and nostalgic R&B. ‘Lonely Nights in Toronto,’ one of the leading tracks, sounds like a late night drive on the 401.”
GOIN96HOST 2 is the perfect follow-up to the original, and deals mostly with themes of love and loss.
“On the first album, I really was like… I didn’t wanna sound soft,” he explained to 1919.
“But, on this album, I really wanted to be more vulnerable.”
