Canadian producer WondaGurl is featured on the new 2 Chainz album, Rap or Go to the League.
The Brampton-born beatsmith co-produced the Travis Scott-assisted “Whip” with hip-hop production legend Mike Dean (2Pac, Kanye West, JAY-Z).
Notably, the album is executively produced by NBA great LeBron James, who said he wanted to get involved because of the importance music has played in his life. Vanity Fair spoke to him about his involvement:
“Anything I do has to be organic to me, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without music. My love for music, my love for hip-hop music . . . what it does for me in my training, what it’s done for me in my life . . . There are days I’ve gotten through because of music—great artists who’ve been able to use their penmanship to get me through days. So this was just organic to me.”
