The 130 second clip, which arrived Monday, provides fans with the first extended look at the highly-anticipated sequel to 2018’s immensely popular Black Panther. The clip also provides clues to how the franchise will move forward without the beloved lead actor Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 from colon cancer.
In addition to offering a better glimpse at the villain Namor (played by Tenoch Huerta) and his underwater kingdom of Atlantis, the trailer also features a brief look at the new Black Panther, who appears to be a woman. Many fans are speculating that the new masked hero is Shuri, Princess of Wakanda (played by Letitia Wright).
