Toronto-based UZA previews Auragami EP with “No Labels” single & video

A few weeks back, Toronto-based artist UZA released her latest single, “No Labels.”

Formerly known as Nunu V, the heavy-hitting punchline songstress gained attention with her guest appearance on the BomaSquad single “Party Time,” which racked up more than 50K views on WorldStar in less than a week.

The Rekkzone-produced “No Labels” is an aggressive yet subtle record that navigates growing up in a marginalized community, as well as experiencing gang violence and encountering police brutality. For UZA, it represents freedom of expression through music and artistic culture, without being forced into a box or stamped with a label. Artists such as UZA can sometimes feel completely confined when they’re not themselves or cannot share their art in ways that are truthful and authentic.

The single was released with a vibrant music video directed by Isabelle and Salma Please which showcases UZA’s charisma and versatility. So far, the video has racked up over 4K views since premiering on June 24.

“No Labels” is the first single off UZA’s forthcoming EP, Auragami, which is an eight-song project highlighting witty lyrics, angelic vocals, and undeniable wordplay. Along with Rekkzone, Auragami has collaborations with world-class producers including Ascendo and Billboard-charting producer, Conall Shaw, who has worked with established names such as Hit-Boy, Timbaland, Big Sean and more.

Check out the new video below, and stay tuned for Auragami. You can find “No Labels” on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms via X10 Entertainment.
