Ryver & Sticky Jack release the Bad Influence mixtape

Toronto artists Ryver and Sticky Jack dropped a 13-track bar-heavy mixtape a few days back that you definitely need to take in. It’s well-produced but there’s still a nice raw and gritty feel to the sound.

On Bad Influence, Ryver and Jack exchange verses with a diverse range of flows and hooks, bringing something different from one tune to the next. Their chemistry is off the charts and apparent throughout the mixtape… along with their immense hunger to succeed.

If you’re looking for just a taste of Bad Influence, check out the Hitmasters-produced “Let’s Get It On,” which sees the famous ’73 Marvin Gaye sample serve as the backdrop to a lighthearted but sinister battle cry. Another really dope display of solid lyricism is “Crazy,” featuring really strong and laid back verses from both artists that compliment the production nicely. They speak on they’re come up as artists and how things will be different when they reach another level.

There’s a lot of potential coming out of this camp and Bad Influence is likely to give the duo a well-deserved boost to their fanbase. We’ll definitely be watching to see what they come with next.
