Budding YouTuber Louaista dropped a new video yesterday looking at “how one allegation ruined Lil Mosey’s career.”
In 2018, the Seattle rapper and singer released his debut studio album Northsbest which included his first Billboard Hot 100 chart entry, “Noticed.”
In April 2021, Lil Mosey, born Lathan Moses Echols, was charged with one count of second-degree rape in Lewis County, Washington. His trial began on February 22, 2023 and he was found not guilty on March 2, 2023.
Louaista dives into how the rape allegation impacted Lil Mosey’s career, and where he’s at today, and his potential to bounce back.
“Lil Mosey has been fighting off an allegation he was proved innocent for, for years now. Before being hit with it, he was putting hits regularly, and it was slapping. And was someone most people thought would be around for a while, being how young he was and how he was absolutely shredding his way to the top. This is the sad story of his downfall. However, like most rise and falls stories, I don’t really think Mosey’s to blame. But rather, uncontrollable factors we’re at play.”
