Lil Durk Announces New Album & Drops “Monitoring Me” Video

TLDR: After announcing a new album on Thursday, Lil Durk releases the music video for his new Southside-produced single, “Monitoring Me.”

Lil Durk is back in the spotlight, and he’s making waves with the announcement of his highly anticipated new album, Deep Thoughts. Following a thrilling reveal on Instagram late Thursday, October 3, the Chicago rap kingpin shared the project’s title, cover art, and release date, igniting excitement among fans.

“Deep thoughts 10/18 for the people for the trenches smurk back [star and crescent emoji],” he declared, pairing the text with captivating artwork that shows him floating serenely above the ocean, bathed in the ethereal light of the moon.

But that’s not all—Durk also unveiled the Jerry Production-powered music video for his new single, “Monitoring Me,” produced by Southside. This fresh track gives listeners a taste of what to expect from the upcoming album and is available now on Apple Music, Spotify, and all major digital platforms.

“Monitoring Me” follows the Lil Durk video for “Turn Up A Notch,” which has racked up over 2.7 million views on YouTube since premiering on September 25. That song is also available on digital platforms.

The return of Lil Durk promises to be a significant moment in hip-hop, and fans can’t wait to dive into his introspective journey come October 18.
