Haisla Nation duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids released their latest album TRAPLINE on Friday, and the response has been huge. So much so that the album is currently sitting in the No. 2 spot on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap Top Albums chart just behind Logic’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
SNRK (consisting of members Darren “Young D” Metz and Quinton “Yung Trybez” Nyce) released a video for “Boujee Natives” on May 10 which was directed by Perry Miotto for Okey Dokey Creative, and we just recently featured the video for the Shanks Sioux-assisted “I Can’t Remember My Name.”
Another artist making their mark is Montréal’s own FouKi, who (along with producer QuietMike) released a second album on the highly successful label 7ième Ciel on May 3. ZayZay is currently sitting in the No. 3 spot, pushing Eminem’s Kamikaze down to No. 4.
Also cracking the Top 10 is Une année record by Loud, which actually dropped back in Nov. 2017. It’s climbed its way to the No. 10 spot just behind Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy.
