Cordae & Anderson .Paak talk “Two Tens” lyrics on Genius
“Maryland-raised rapper Cordae and singer, rapper, producer, drummer, and Silk Sonic member Anderson .Paak wrote their second collaboration, 2023’s ‘Two Tens,’ together in the studio using a beat from a pack that co-producer J. Cole sent over. ‘We both were really trying to impress each other with each line,’ .Paak tells Genius of the recording process. ‘But also, we really want to make a good song. It’s not just two dudes battling each other.’ The song arrives nearly four years after the duo’s first team-up, 2019’s ‘RNP,’ which appeared on Cordae’s debut studio album, ‘The Lost Boy,’ and was also co-produced by Cole. Since its release, the song has amassed over 12 million Spotify streams alone.” – Genius
