Classified Brings the Maritimes to Ottawa With Luke’s View Tour

TLDR: Classified and the Luke’s View Tour lineup thrilled Ottawa fans last night at the Bronson Centre, featuring epic performances that brought a taste of the Maritimes to the capital.

Classified ignited the stage in Ottawa last night as his Welcome to the Maritimes: Luke’s View Tour took over the Bronson Centre, delivering an electrifying performance alongside an all-star lineup of talent. The Canadian hip-hop icon headlined a packed show that also featured Halifax standouts JRDN and Ria Mae, Cape Breton’s Brett Matthews, Toronto’s O’Sound, and the ever-energetic DJ IV.

Brett Matthews opened the night with a mellow yet engaging set that set the tone, followed by O’Sound’s soulful vibe. JRDN brought his signature energy, while Ria Mae’s infectious indie-pop sound got the crowd moving. When Classified took the stage for his headlining set, the audience erupted, ready for the night’s main event.

Classified, real name Luke Boyd, blended tracks from his recent album Luke’s View with nostalgic hits like “3 Foot Tall,” “No Mistakes,” and the patriotic anthem “Oh… Canada.” Standout moments included a heartfelt performance of “Good News,” featuring the night’s lineup harmonizing on the hook, and a crowd-led rendition of the Red Hot Chili Peppers classic “Under the Bridge,” delivered with Brett Matthews’ smooth vocals. Paying tribute to hip-hop’s rich history, Class also mixed in snippets of classics from 2Pac and Jay-Z, showing his reverence for the genre’s greats.

Welcome to the Maritimes: Luke’s View Tour, has been a resounding success, and last night’s Ottawa stop was no exception. While an exact attendance count wasn’t confirmed, an estimated 400 fans packed the venue, many proudly rocking HalfLife Records gear.

The show was a celebration of music, collaboration, and community, leaving fans buzzing for tonight’s Toronto stop at Lee’s Palace. With Luke’s View and its extended Relux version proving to be fan favorites, Classified continues to solidify his place as a cornerstone of Canadian hip-hop.

The Luke’s View Tour continues tonight in Toronto inside Lee’s Palace. Visit ClassifiedOfficial.com to purchase tickets.
