As an artist, it is always important to be multi-dimensional and Haviah Mighty shows us that with her new acoustic rework of “On The Low.”
In a video that was created in collaboration with Toronto creatives, Breathe Entertainment, Haviah Mighty strips down her song “On The Low” into an authentic, acoustic version and forces the listener to embrace the raw emotion and messaging that the song provides.
The song in its original form was released as part of Haviah’s latest EP titled Flower City and was produced by Montreal producer Young Dreadz. In the reworked version, the 808’s and synths are replaced with powerful piano chords and allow Haviah’s undeniable passion and energy to be at the forefront of the record.
The video, which was crafted by Scott Mccuaig and Stephen Trivieri of Breathe Entertainment, mirrors the same raw authenticity that Haviah Mighty brings to the record. It is minimalist, comprises of mostly one continuous shot in one continuous scene and lets Haviah really be the focal point of the visual.
Collaborations like this one from Haviah Mighty and Breathe Entertainment are really what drives the music industry. When artists and creatives are able to come together in a way that drives new sounds and new energy, it always comes out special.
