Rare Story Pt. 2: 2Rare announces anticipated debut mixtape Truth or Rare out September 22

Upholding a hot streak of high-powered anthems, Philadelphia upstart 2Rare unveils a brand new single and music video entitled “Rare Story Pt. 2.” The release comes ahead of his major label mixtape debut, Truth Or Rare set to arrive on September 22 via Second Estate / Warner Records.

It notably serves as a successor to the underground 2021 fan favorite “Rare Story.” On this hyper-charged and high-powered anthem, 2Rare locks into an unpredictable and undeniable flow. From the jump, he declares, “My eye’s twitching that mean that somebody’s talking.” His quotable puns take the spotlight as he recounts, “I ain’t fall like November. I was running, and I tripped.” In the accompanying visual, 2Rare leads the whole city through the streets as they flawlessly mimic his dance moves and chant along to each line.

Notably, 2Rare turned up with NLE Choppa on “Do It Again” which is now RIAA Certified Gold. Amplifying his presence, GQ interviewed him as part of its On The Rocks series, and he “shows off his insane jewelry collection.” Plus, he landed a coveted spot among XXL’s 2023 Freshman Class, going on to note, “2Rare has been flexing his melody-driven rhymes and fun dance moves with one goal in mind: success.”

Additionally, “Rare Story Pt. 2” followed up 2Rare’s “One of One (Back It Up Pt. 2),” “Toxic Ish” and “Rare Steppa.” They were preceded by the viral hits “Rare’s Room” and “Lil Mama,” which recently blew past 2.5 million streams. If all that doesn’t make it clear, 2Rare is working at an awe-inspiring pace and delivering the goods each time.
