should’ve wore a bonnet: 21 Savage drops Brent Faiyaz-assisted video in support of american dream album

21 Savage has dropped fresh visuals for his new Brent Faiyaz collaboration, “should’ve wore a bonnet.”

The video for the Cardo, Johnny Juliano, Yung Exclusive, Dpat, and ESTA.-produced single comes in support of 21’s third studio album, american dream.

“The song explores themes of love, desire, and the complexities of relationships,” states the song’s Genius annotations.

“The title refers to a common protective hair accessory, suggesting the importance of being prepared for the unexpected and possible break-ups in a relationship.”

The song samples K-Ci Hailey (of K-Ci & JoJo) from the 1992 Mary J. Blige release, “I Don’t Want To Do Anything.”

You can find “should’ve wore a bonnet” and the american dream album on Apple Music, Spotify, and various other digital streaming platforms.
