Before featuring Kanye West in his “The Genius Of” series, YouTuber Daniel Eason took a deep dive into the career of Frank Ocean.
THE DEFIANT ARTIST, Frank Ocean, arrives once in a blue moon to shake up the media. His experimental approach validated the ears of listeners, becoming a representative of transforming alternative R&B but the commercial domain of this artists career is intentional given it notably lacks when pared to counterparts who’ve featured him. Nevertheless, his presence is highly anticipated when your favorite artist releases a project and that’s because Frank Ocean brings more to the table than cookie cutter hit singles.
In a descriptive video essay I review Frank Ocean’s discography in areas I find important, such as: audio production, marketing strategies, social status, personality and much more. In this biography I compose my opinions from facts along with elements of humor and satisfaction, justifying the reasons I find him a genius.
