Ottawa rapper Swisha T recently returned with his latest and seventh audio release of the 2021 campaign. “Long Way,” featuring fellow Ottawa lyricist Big Zee, comes ahead of Swisha’s next album, Road to Redemption, set to drop on August 15th.
With album promotions in full swing, “Long Way” is expected to receive visual support sometime in the not so distant future. It’ll be Swisha’s first video offering since “No Days Off,” shot and edited by James Harkness, which has racked up over 88K views on YouTube since May 14th.
On the day of the single’s release, Swisha took to Instagram to confirm the video’s existence, and to share footage from the videoshoot.
“Don’t gotta speak on what’s already understood, if you my brudda you my brudda then I only wish you good – ‘Long Way’ is out now on all platforms! Y’all want that video?”
Road to Redemption will be Swisha’s first project since his 8-track banger Filthy was released back in 2015. The title for the new album comes from Swisha T’s acknowledgment that he has “let [his] fans down” with a lack of consistency over the years, and is aiming to redeem himself with his highly anticipated new album launch.
